Psychology Fees
The fee for each session is $205 per 50-minute session. (The Australian Psychological Society recommended fee is $280). Fees are payable at the time of consultation. We accept cash and EFTPOS. You do not need a referral to attend; however, a referral from a GP is necessary to be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Please see your GP for a referral prior to attending your appointment.
Medicare Rebates
The Australian government provides a ‘Better Access to Mental Health Care’ program, which allows Medicare rebates for services provided by registered psychologists. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP, you will receive a rebate of $131.65 from Medicare. You pay for your session at the time of your consultation and we can process your Medicare claim at that time.
Private Health Insurance
Dr Megan Newrick Psychology is registered with most major health funds. Please check with your provider regarding the details of your cover, and if you are able to claim for psychology services.
